About This Role
Textron Systems is looking for a Mechanical Designer to support the Ground Robotics (GROBO) team within our Land Systems organization. This position will be responsible for creating and checking technical content and data packages for various components and sub-assemblies of various vehicles, payloads, and support equipment.
This role will receive tasking from Senior Designers and Engineers. You will work with engineers on the creation and quality checking of engineering documentation to support production technical data packages (concepts, layouts, drawings, 3D models, parts lists, Engineering Change Notices, (ECN’s), vendor parts, etc.) in compliance with Military, ASME, and Company standards and process guides. This role will include cataloging of vendor and supplier-controlled hardware, models, and specifications as well as the design and drawings for new components, welded and machined structures, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and system layouts. The applicant will be expected to quickly develop skills necessary for utilization of company tools (NX-2007, SolidWorks, Teamcenter, and JIRA).
Responsibilities
- Receive, create, and record JIRA tickets for tracking of assignments
- Cataloging of vendor and supplier-controlled components, models, and specifications
- Release of specifications, drawings, and ECNs within the Teamcenter system (Product Lifecycle Management Tool)
- Interface with Product engineers, Manufacturing engineers and Machinists to produce accurate product representations and incorporate design for manufacturability feedback

About This Role:
The Materiel & Logistics Specialist is responsible for scaling, inventory management and supply chain management for Spares and Repair parts for Tactical Armored Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) Support contract. As a key member of the Equipment Management Team (EMT) develop demand forecasts and supply plan, resolve issues on parts demands, expected delivery times, quality of spares issues, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportability (PHST) and any other materiel support issues.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ownership of Material Support Performance Metric, analysis of performance data, identify Top Metric Drivers and actions to improve performance.
- Using statistical methods and inputs from different specialists, generate a detailed long term material forecast.
- Work closely with Planning and Procurement teams to execute supply plans to meet customer demands and long-term material forecasts.
- Initiate and coordinate cross-border material shipping activities with warehouse and Import/Export team.
- Monitor inventory levels at supplier warehouse, customer depots and internal stores. Ensure the quality of inventory data (e.g. validity, accuracy, inventory locations, erroneous transactions), reconcile material transactions and resolve database issues.
- Main point of contact for the resolution of material issues; interface with the customers personnel and project team to identify, align and support day-to-day urgent material needs on the program.
- Maintain back-order report; provide weekly updates on expected delivery dates for the back order.
- Monitor warehouse vendors timely response to customer demands to satisfy the performance metric.
- Analyze trends and generate reports for spares consumption, failure rates and annual material costs.

About This Role

Candidate shall function as the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Manager for a Department of Defense (DoD) Programs which are in the development phase of a product lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation, control and monitoring of an IPS Program that effectively considers all IPS elements to ensure development of supportable material, necessary logistic products and services, and a support strategy that optimizes functional support, leverages existing resources, lowers life cycle cost and decreases the overall logistics footprint. The programs being worked on are in the development phase.
- Functions as a principal member of the engineering management staff, serving as the primary point of contact on all IPS and IPS-related matters.
- Assesses IPS requirements, complete program plans, coordinates and provides technical and budgetary support for logistics program development, and ensures timely, accurate, and complete response to IPS proposal and/or program requirements.
- Coordinates IPS Element representation to ensure active participation as an integral part of the Systems Engineering design process.
- Establishes an IPS Working Group (IPSWG) or IPS IPT and conducts necessary reviews with the customer, Textron Systems representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure that logistics considerations are integrated into the program and to provide IPS status.
- Coordinates the conduct of Product Support Analysis (PSA) to influence operational and material requirements and design specifications, define support requirements, develop and acquire the required support, provide required operational support at optimal cost, affect readiness and life cycle cost improvements, and repeatedly examine support requirements through the service life of the product.
- Develops contract deliverables as well as coordinates development of contract deliverables prepared by other IPS stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and complete submittals.

- Serves as a participating member of the program Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure that supportability requirements are considered in all proposed changes.

Textron Systems Electronic Systems is looking for a Radio Frequency (RF)/Microwave (MW) Design Engineer to add to our team developing state of the art RF/MW assemblies for our rapidly growing business unit. Textron System, Electronic Systems is seeking an experienced Digital Design Engineer to develop solutions for a variety of technical challenges. The Digital Design Engineer will engage in a variety of technical projects including Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware and firmware design, and embedded microcontroller design and development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Designing Digital Signal Processing code for FPGAs (Altera/Intel or Xilinx/AMD).
- Developing code for embedded microcontrollers (Atmel, Microchip, etc).
- Architecture planning and system level design
- Solving complex problems that may require research and analysis of alternatives involving many factors.
- Working independently to determine and develop innovative solutions.
- Contributing to and/or ensures the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
- Writing interface control documents, specifications, and test procedures for designs.

JOB SCOPE:
· Perform all operations within a continuous flow-manufacturing cell, utilizing the skills and ability to run all machines, as well as test equipment including burring within the cell, part washing, measurement and recording of inspection results using electronic gauging and all other inspection equipment for data collection.
