For several years, the Leadership Slidell Northshore Alumni Association and local Slidell, Louisiana business partners have been sponsoring a program called Hometown Heroes. This program recognizes heroes who honorably served or are currently serving in the United States military.

On February 20 and March 1, employees and their families represented Textron Systems in the Krewe of Dionysus parade in Slidell, Louisiana, by walking, tossing beads and trinkets, and helping us grow our workforce while spreading Mardi Gras cheer and Textron Systems spirit.

Every year, the work of STEM professionals is honored at the Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) STEM Conference. This year, we’re proud to share that Brandon Samuels, Electrical Engineering Manager, has been awarded a Modern-Day Technology Leader Award. His work will be recognized on Feb. 18 during the Technology Recognition Event.
