The commodity BRASS includes raw Brass stock. This can be I beams, sheets, tubes, etc.

The commodity BRONZE includes raw Bronze stock. This can be I beams, sheets, tubes, etc.

The commodity COPPER includes raw copper stock. This can be I-beams, sheets, tubes, etc.

The commodity STEEL includes raw material steel stock.  This can be I beams, sheets, tubes, etc. No machined, fabricated, or any type of processed component or assembly should be included in this commodity.

The commodity METAL - OTHER includes metallic raw material that isn't steel, aluminum, bronze, copper, brass, or titanium.

The commodity TITANIUM includes raw material Titanium stock.  This can be I beams, sheets, tubes, etc.

The commodity INSULATION, THERMAL includes raw material thermal insulation stock such as raw foam, raw minerals, and raw cork. INSULATION, THERMAL is not meant for thermal insulation material that has been processed into other parts or parts that use thermal insulation material as a component.

The commodity NON-METAL - OTHER includes non-metallic raw material that isn't plastic, rubber, textile, wax, or wood.

The commodity PLASTIC includes raw material plastic stock. PLASTIC is not meant for plastic that has been processed into other parts or parts that use plastic as a component.

The commodity PWB is meant for custom-fabricated, fully assembled, Printed Wiring Boards. PWB is not to include circuit card assemblies or components of printed wiring boards.

The commodity PHOTO EQUIP includes and custom fabrication items that are used for taking photos/videos. This can include cameras, camera lens, and mounting for photo equipment. Can include LIDAR and Thermal/Infrared.

The commodity ADAPTER MECHANICAL includes mechanical components that adapt pipes, tubes, fittings, mechanical connections and more.

The commodity BEARING includes bearings only. Examples include ball bearings, roller bearings, sleeve bearings, and any other types of bearings.

The commodity BELLS refers more so to any parts whose primary purpose is to emit noise. This can include, bells, horns, antenna horns, alarms, warning signals, and other noice emitting devices.

The commodity GEAR is meant for custom-fabricated gears in relation to mechanical systems as components of power and drive trains.

The commodity HINGE is includes custom-fabricated hinge parts used in mechanical fabrication assemblies.

The commodity HEAT TREATING includes custom fabrication of metal parts that are heat treated.

The commodity LABEL includes items used for labeling items in the shop and decals that may be custom fabricated.

The commodity MACHINING includes custom-fabricated parts that have been milled, turned, mill-turned, drilled, reamed, grinded, etc from blocks of metal. Machining is not to include fully assembled mechanical assemblies or sheet metal fabrications.

The commodity MOLDING includes custom-fabricated parts processed through all types of molding such as injection, vacuum, drape forming, thermoforming, over molding, compression, blow molding and rotational molding.

The commodity OPTIC includes custom-fabricated optical lenses, mirrors, coatings, light-reflecting/focusing/diverging devices, and optical components/assemblies.

The commodity OVF (Outside Vendor Finishing) includes custom-fabricated parts that are in the finishing stages of fabrication. This includes coating and repair services.

The commodity ENGINE includes custom fabricated engines and their components. These engines are primarily used in mechanical systems.

The commodity HEAT EXCHANGER includes custom-fabricated devices used in heating and cooling mechanical systems for fluids.

The commodity COMPOSITE BONDED ASSY includes fabricated components that comprise of a mixture of raw materials (communally of various types) that are bonded together with resins or adhesives, Includes RTM, VARTM, Filament Winding, Pultrusion, Thick Laminates. Fiber Placement, etc.

The commodity COMPOSITES is meant only for raw composites stock. This can be carbon fiber, fiberglass, kevlar, nylon, etc. No manufactured, fabricated, or any type of part using composites as a component should be included in this commodity. Part numbers are to be structured based on our raw material part number scheme that describes the dimensions, grade, and shape/formation of the composite. 

The commodity MECH ASSY includes custom fabricated, primarily mechanical, assemblies. MECH ASSY is not to include assemblies that are primarily electrical, or sole components of mechanical assemblies.

The commodity WELDED ASSY includes custom fabrication of metallic parts or raw material that are welded together. This includes MIG, TIG, Friction Stir Welding, and Laser welding, and other Fusion joining processes.

The commodity EXPLOSIVES includes custom fabricated weapons systems & ordnance including ammunitions, energetics, weapons, explosives, and disposal.

The commodity FURNITURE includes equipment, used either as office furniture or used within mechanical systems as unmanned vehicle control seating.

The commodity OFFICE SUPPLY includes items that are needed in the office. This can include items such as ink, computer accessories such as keyboards and mice, scissors, etc. Computer monitors should be directed to DISPLAY. Computers should be directed to COMPUTER.

The commodity PACKAGING MATERIAL includes items that are used in packaging items up, such as boxes and tape.

The commodity SAFETY includes safety/ppe equipment and supplies for use in the office or shop. This does not include tools or test equipment. Excludes grounding straps which should be directed to CABLE.

The commodity SHOP SUPPLY includes, usually depletable, supplies used in the shop. This includes supplies such as sandpaper, mixing cups, or coffee. This commodity does not include tools used in the shop or safety/ppe equipment such as gloves.
