Today, as we celebrate the anniversary of the U.S. Army’s founding in 1775, we honor the selfless service of the men and women who currently serve, retired veterans, those who died in combat and their families who support them. The U.S. Army is an institution created by tradition and honor, and we salute their 244 years of service in helping to keep our country safe and free.
