Cameron McElhinny is vice president and chief information officer for Textron Systems and a member of the Textron Systems Executive Leadership Team. He is responsible for developing and executing a high-performance information technology (IT) and digital strategy in line with the corporate vision, as well as directing day-to-day information systems activities for the organization.
In his previous position at Textron Inc., Cameron was the chief information security officer (CISO). In this role, Cameron was responsible for setting policy, performing governance and managing cyber risk for Textron’s businesses.
He joined Textron in 1996 and, prior to assuming the CISO role, held a variety of leadership positions in PLM and ERP at Bell and Textron Aviation.
Cameron is a private pilot and holds a B.S. in computer science and an M.B.A. in business administration from Wichita State University.
