About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – as a Sr Welder, you will be responsible for:
· Welding of Ballistic Steel materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.
· Some work will have to pass RT, PT, and NDT type testing.
· Climbing on and over bulkheads, up and down ladders.
· Tack welding (kneeling, standing, sitting, lying, overhead burning of steel, dragging torch line)
· Use of jacks, porta-powers and come-a longs; some of which can weigh as much as 25 lbs.
· Lifting of material and tools (jacks, porta-powers, come-a longs, etc. Also loading and unloading of parts.
· Crawling through vehicle on top of floor plates and through hatch/door openings.
· Bending and twisting of your body as needed to get into different compartments.
· Operation of cranes and forklifts.
· Use of power tools (gougers, skill saws, cut saws, grinders). All require two hands on tools to operate in safe manner
· Walking on top of vehicle roof and bottom plates when position in the rollover fixture to achieve welding on a flat.
· Need to be able to work with your hands.
Responsibilities include develop and manage the execution of the production schedule as a result of line of balance output, taking into consideration the available capacity, material availability and program delivery commitments. Communicates to business product support managers and program managers the manufacturing status, expected completion dates and production cost /schedule risk analysis.
· Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, and program management, and other supply chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments.
· Manages and has ownership of execution of items associated with their planner code, to include:
o a. Release of internal jobs to the factory
o b. Release of purchase requisitions
o c. Manage disruptions in the internal factory (shortages, MRB, internal and external constraints)
o d. Provides feedback to internal customers
· Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
· Monitors internal and external supply chain alignment – identifies and resolves potential constraints, maintains line of balance (build through) and purchase requests for the production or purchase of components / parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
· Plays an integral part of product Integrated Product Teams (IPT) by effectively interfacing with internal customers daily, schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
· Assists management in the development and execution of action/ workaround plans for assigned products/value streams to maximize scheduled on-time completion. Analyzes supply and demand data and reports to determine critical path constraints. Performs product lead time analysis.
· Manages manual demand for top/down & bottom-up releases, facilitates ECN/ECP changes and coordinates production cut-ins. Reviews excess material for possible consumption in other jobs. Creates material transfers, borrow/payback transactions and PO change requests.

JOB SCOPE:
· Unload materials by hand or utilizing handling equipment. Report mishandling conditions causing material defects. Verify quantities. Check actual quantity (hand count) against receiving slip, production ticket, credit or move ticket. Make written reports on cause of delays, location of shortage item. Move materials throughout departments as required.
· Responsible for flow of material to the correct process utilizing routings or move tickets. Expedite parts and materials by hand or with handling equipment according to production tickets, tallies and work orders.
· Responsible for maintaining the condition of stock, layout of stockroom, rotation of material. Pick, organize and verify parts for engine build and spare parts orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

About This Role

- Read and interpret basic drawings and weld symbols
- Passing Textron’s aluminum MIG (GMAW) weld test procedure
- Perform as a productive working team member that meets daily goals set by the supervisor.
- MIG welding of aluminum materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.

The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong partnerships with third-party organizations to foster talent development and help meet the organization’s evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Manage and develop a training Team (e.g. training specialist(s), instructor(s), and On-The-Floor Trainer(s)) ensuring consistency and effectiveness in training delivery, including the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a Train-the-Trainer program to equip subject matter experts (SMEs) with effective instructional techniques.
LMS Management: Implement and maintain an LMS structure that aligns with business goals and ensures technical training compliance across the organization.

They will drive the optimization of design for supplier manufacturability, design for supplier assembly, outsourcing design to cost & quality, and further support prototyping validation/readiness leading to a successful product roadmap for stable transition to production. Responsibilities will also include the collaboration and integration of the outsourcing strategy with other roles within the Supply Chain and Operations Team and help grow appreciation and awareness of Sourcing Engineering value in the establishment of suppliers.
