About This Role
Textron Systems, Electronic Systems is seeking talented Electrical Engineers (EE) who are highly motivated and self-driven team players with the ability to perform in a dynamic prototyping environment. This candidate will bring fresh perspective to the design team and must have a strong desire for innovation. Duties and Responsibilities

· Design, implement, analyze, and document hardware and electrical systems.
· Work closely with engineers of varying disciplines to meet simulation training system requirements.
· Assist in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of designs to ensure that equipment and systems are installed and functioning according to specifications.
· Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
· Develop and establish design approach and implementation.
· Develop procedures and test trainer computers, inputs/outputs, electro-mechanical systems, and power interfaces.
· Collaborate with peers to implement designs, resolve system operation errors, and implement procedures.

· Keep current on future technologies and products to determine where and how such products can be incorporated into designs.

This is an opportunity to work as a Software Engineer in our Land Systems organizations on products such Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV). Our teams are engaged in multiple cutting edge development programs for defense applications. The strong candidate will possess a broad knowledge base in multiple engineering disciplines and be able to execute in both R&D and production environments. Required experience includes hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation, overseeing technical execution of engineering projects, and successfully working within a collaborative team environment. A desire to take ownership of design efforts integrating new technology into our vehicles is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Support full-life cycle engineering design and development activities on ground vehicle programs.
- Work cross-functionally with the organization to integrate the entire system including hardware and software.
- Lead and/or perform requirements analysis, software development, software unit testing, software configuration management, and support system integration & test.
- Demonstrate technical acumen and problem-solving skills toward the execution of software engineering tasks.
- Perform review of engineering work products to ensure technically accurate and quality work products.
- Prepare and present software engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers at program milestone reviews.

This Software Engineering role is within Textron System’s Land Systems division working with unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) products. Our team is made up of talented engineers and technicians passionate about solving challenging engineering problems in a marine environment. About This Role
Textron Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This individual will work as part of a multidisciplined
design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The individual will be responsible for
developing new analog designs and the transition of those designs into military qualified hardware. The individual should be familiar with Mixed Signal electronics design. Knowledge of switching power supply design is a plus. Understanding of Multilayer PWA’s. The individual should be familiar with using OrCAD Capture, PSPICE or LTSpice and other simulation products. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a background in Electrical Testing, Test Equipment Design, or both to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical circuit functional testing and EMI/EMC testing, as well as electrical test equipment design and implementation. Your Electrical Engineering expertise and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the successful design, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge defense technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers.
Responsibilities
· Oversee all electrical test and test equipment development and implementation work being performed on the program
· Work with Systems Engineering to ensure that electrical test and test equipment tasks are verifying requirements properly
· Ensure synergy between test equipment design and electrical test activity
· Facilitate the flow of electrical design/model content between the electrical test and test equipment engineers and electrical design team
· Manage electrical test and test equipment resources and allocating people to design and test jobs
· Assist in Control Account Management for all electrical test and test equipment tasks
· Run weekly status meetings with electrical test and test equipment team, and report status and updates to Program Engineer
· Work with electrical test and test equipment team to help develop their capabilities by identifying relevant training courses and mentoring opportunities
· Work to improve test equipment development and implementation processes by decreasing bugs, bettering coding techniques, and incorporating best practices
· Generate technical report and presentation templates for customer submittals and design reviews

Textron Systems is hiring a highly skilled and experienced embedded software engineer to join our team and serve as a software architect and developer. The candidate will assist the lead software engineer with the planning, designing, and oversight of the implementation and test of embedded software systems throughout the full software development lifecycle. The candidate will work closely with the software test lead as well to ensure proper verification of software requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software design and architecture of embedded software systems, as well as experience with software documentation that conform to Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).
The team’s goal is to create scalable and optimized software systems for defense applications to support modernization efforts for the US military. While the candidate’s primary focus will be the architecture and design, the candidate will be responsible for software peer reviews and implementation tasks. Textron systems is developing highly complex systems using microprocessor, ARM, and/or DSP architectures where some aspects are safety critical. The candidate must be able to work independently on individual assigned tasks and well as collaborate with software, systems, safety, and electrical lead engineering team members throughout the project. The candidate must have a good understanding of electrical design and how it affects the software design. The candidate must be able to interpret schematics and be able to understand how electrical components interact and affect the software implementation. This position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a secret level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development of 1 or more of the CSCIs within the program’s overall system software plan
- Capture and document the software design in a clear and concise manner in UML using system model-based tools such as Magic Draw.
- Implement unit testing of software features and integrate into a CI/CD pipeline
- Lead software assurance efforts
- Coordinate the authoring and revisioning of CDRLs in accordance with DFARS software documentation requirements using DIDs format.
- Prepare presentations to the customer on the software design and architecture for embedded systems.
- Work with the software engineering team to ensure that the software meets the requirements of the system.
