About This Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with internal teammates, as well as vendor partners
- Using key performance indicators to evaluate platform performance
- Work closely with creative team and management to establish and execute on creative vision for projects
- Create layouts and designs implementing basic design principles such as, content hierarchy, useability, typography, and structuring elements
- Create and edit creative materials
o Brochures, Posters & Invitations, etc.
o Print & Digital Ads
o Website & Social Media Graphics
o Video content
o Tradeshow displays
- Supporting the development and management of digital channels, including but not limited to company websites, email marketing, mobile applications and other digital experiences
- Adhering to internal and external brand and security standards
- Other duties as assigned
About This Role
The Sr Content & Communications Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing a multichannel editorial strategy for Textron Systems. Reporting to the Manager, Digital Development, this position is part of Textron Systems’ Strategic Communications & Creative Services team. The Sr Content & Communications Strategist will work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to understand key business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, translating these into a unified content strategy covering a multitude of channels including, but not limited to, social media, web and print. Curating contributed content for these channels, as well as leading development of a variety of content, this individual will use key performance indicators to evaluate the performance of content and make strategic recommendations for continuous improvement. This role requires 3-5 years of proven experience, as well as strong cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative and measurably successful results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Partnership with stakeholders to recommend and execute content that drives brand recognition and positive perception in the marketplace among key stakeholder groups
· Manage segment social media channels and editorial calendar, with due consideration for channel and audience differentiation to achieve expected KPI results and audience growth
· Understand and interpret highly technical information and translate into multiple content types for product lines and capabilities to support brand journalism
· Own website editorial calendar, developing content plans that align with business goals and objectives while working with stakeholders to execute and achieve expected KPI results and audience growth
· Write and edit numerous content types:
o News articles
o Social media content
o Q&As/other brand journalism pieces
o Infographics
o Photo stories
o Listicles
· Use tools like Canva and PlayPlay to produce video and graphic content across multiple channels:
o Reels
o Stories
o Highlights
o Lives
o Video
· Ongoing measurement of KPIs and continuous improvement actions to achieve expected KPI results and audience growth
· Partner with Digital Development Specialist on strategic SEO continuous improvement plan focusing on content development.
· Own and develop social advertising plans across social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X & YouTube
· Other as assigned

About This Role
· The Part-Time External Communications Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing external communications activities across the business.
· Reporting to the Senior Public Relations Strategist, this position is part of the Textron Systems’ Strategic Communications & Creative Services team, which works daily alongside our colleagues on the Marketing & Events team.
· The Strategic Communications & Creative Services team reports into Human Resources and Global Military Sales & Strategy to provide strategic, collaborative support to our internal and external customers.
· The External Communications Strategist will support activities across our seven capability areas: Air, Land, Sea, Weapon Systems, Electronic Systems, Propulsion and Test, Training and Simulation.
· Part-Time – 20 hours/week
Responsibilities
· Develop press releases and secure required approvals according to company policy.
· Creation of external communications materials.
· Work with Sr. PR Strategist to support media relations cycles, including development of interview talking points, media monitoring, pitching reporters, scheduling interviews, coordinating responses to incoming inquiries, obtaining approvals on materials and training and tracking approved spokespeople.
· Work with external communications vendors to manage invoices.
· Metrics analysis and data measurement for continuous improvement of public relations activity using Cision and other tools.
· Support public relations planning activities.
· Support Annual Report process, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report and other enterprise external communications activities as assigned.
· Research, analyze and help build thought leadership platforms.
· Other activities as assigned
