Warfighters across the globe count on our products to help them accomplish their missions. With more than a million hours of unmanned system and command-and-control operational experience, our technology is customer-tested and mission-approved. As leaders in applied autonomy for air, land and sea vehicles, we have the manned-unmanned teaming experience to extend human-machine capabilities.
By collaborating closely with the customer, the UxS team works to identify emerging needs and capabilities within the current solution to quickly move sustainable concepts from the lab to the field.
To support U.S. Army market research in Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) technology, the team engaged with the RELLIS campus of Texas A&M in early May 2019 at the RCV Phase IIA Market Research Demonstration. Through customer feedback, the team realized our soldiers needed visionary capabilities with the industry-leading maturity to meet their urgent, aggressive RCV requirements. With renewed focus, our team took a comprehensive approach to finding the right solution – leading to the creation of Team Ripsaw. By bringing together the dreamers, doers and disruptors across Textron Systems, Howe & Howe and FLIR, the team rapidly collaborated to create our RIPSAW® M5 RCV.
