About This Role
The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for all aspects of managing daily operations at the Crewed Land Systems Production site in Slidell, LA. They will report directly to the VP, Programs, and will provide leadership and accountability for, but not limited to, maintaining appropriate staffing and headcount levels; production schedules; profit and loss/budgeting and compliance with Textron policies, procedures, environmental health and safety, and other requirements. This role requires a leader who can design and execute scalable manufacturing systems that support complex defense programs and adapt to dynamic production schedules. The Director of Manufacturing champions a culture of continuous improvement that elevates safety, quality, productivity and employee relations for the manufacturing function. This position is responsible for establishing the vision, goals and metrics across the manufacturing organization that supports the larger programs.
The Director, Manufacturing Operations will report directly to the Vice President of Programs and will provide leadership and accountability for overall strategic and tactical activities of the end-to-end manufacturing engineering, material planning, receiving, warehouse, and shipping functions.
This critical business role will:
· Plan, organize and direct day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations and meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives.

· Partner cross-functionally (e.g. HR, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance) to align capacity, methods, and budgets with program needs.
· Implement strategies aligned with business line initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to support business growth.
· Establish an operating rhythm (e.g. tiered daily/weekly reviews, scorecards, and KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people) and ensure transparent/effective communication internally and with external affiliates and customers.
· Design practices, processes, and procedures that enable effective leadership and management from a distance.
· Create shared objectives where appropriate and define success in terms of all stakeholders.
· Manage departmental budgets and engage with capital planning strategy to prioritize investments and optimize return on assets.

Textron Systems is seeking employees to support the United States Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) program. For this program Textron Systems has developed the Cottonmouth® ARV, a recon vehicle to be feared and a force-multiplier armed to the fangs with advanced full-spectrum reconnaissance and surveillance sensors. - Supports EVMS reporting and compliance, audit support, baseline development, financial and investigative analysis, and real-time information and analysis to PMs, technical leads and finance
- Closely supports PM team and collaborates with other functions including engineering, scheduling, contracts, procurement, manufacturing and finance
- Provides variance analysis and maintenance of schedule, performance, forecasts and risk/opportunity data
- Assists team with implementing corrective actions and mitigation strategies to realign efforts with project goals
- Participates in and supports preparation of customer and internal reviews such as Integrated Baseline Reviews

About This Role:

In this role, the Contracts Specialist shall proactively provide support to contract management and directors of a particular in administering USG DoD contracts. Under the direction of leadership, they will support all aspects of contract management throughout the contracting process, from pre-proposal activities through contract closure. In performing this role, the Contracts Specialist will:
· Support the review and risk analysis of solicitations and terms and conditions and coordinate with their supervisor.
· Participate in bid/no bid decisions and proposal review meetings.
· Review cost proposals, maintain cost and pricing data records for TINA compliance, support fact-finding, DCAA audits, and negotiations.
· Proactively administer a variety of USG DoD contracts of all types (cost reimbursement, fixed price, incentive, award fee, IDIQ, time and material, etc.) and modifications thereto.
· Prepare and coordinate business correspondence, generate required contract-related reports, and maintain accurate and complete contract files and records for the company.
· Remain actively engaged with (and serve as an integral member of) designated program teams and develop strong interfaces with personnel located at other business sites in Slidell, LA and Hunt Valley, MD in other functional areas.
· Participate in program reviews, monitor program performance (contract schedules, deliverables, funding, invoicing, and payments), and notify contract managers or directors of potential non-compliances or other problems that could have an adverse impact on the company.
· Identify and administer contract changes, and coordinate resolution of contract issues with your supervisors.
· Actively administer the closeout of completed contracts.
· Ensure contract management activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and customer requirements.
· Ensure coordination with Legal on contract matters that may have legal significance (such as, identifying to Legal non-standard or potentially high-risk terms and conditions) prior to advising management of contractual risks, rights and obligations, and terms and conditions interpretations.

We are seeking multiple highly qualified candidates to lead and support our Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle (ARV) engineering projects supporting our internal development initiatives and our contract programs. The Project Engineers will work primarily with the engineering disciplines and program teams to plan and execute ARV project to achieve defined objectives within cost and schedule constraints. Project Engineers lead a multidisciplinary team and provide technical leadership and guidance on development efforts that impact on ground vehicles products and programs. As a member of ARV Project Engineering team, the ARV Project Engineers ensures that the engineering efforts meet customer and internal requirements.
ARV Project Engineer roles and responsibilities :
• Collaborate closely with Program Management to tightly control program schedule and budget per customer Earned-Value Managements System requirements (EVMS)
• Resolve schedule, resource, and technical conflicts
• Navigate and lead multidiscipline teams through unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions
• Collaborate with functional managers to organize and delegate key tasks
• Interact daily with program managers, planners, engineers and technicians
• Generate statements of work and managing outside contractor performance
• Act as a technical interface between engineering development team, Integrated Product Teams, and Integrated Supply Chain for product and program needs
• Chair (or delegate) responsibilities to execute change control boards for your project /product
• Develop discretionary funding plans and requests outlining program needs for successful execution
• Provide recommendations to senior management regarding critical risk acceptance
• Develop proposals (cost and technical) and basis of estimates for new business opportunities
• Prepare and present engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers at program milestone reviews
• Responsible for Average Unit Manufacturing Cost (AUMC) of PPD vehicles and future LRIP/full-rate production environments
ARV Automotive Project Engineer Roles/Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing and coordinating all ARV Automotive and Vehicle specific-related activities, acting as a liaison between different teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
o Manage and coordinate Vehicle and Automotive Design, Development, Integration and Test Activities
o Supports Chief Engineer to drive technical risk and maturity into Vehicle/Automotive system designs and development
o Coordinate Engineering support of Vehicle of builds, outfitting, test and final delivery
o Responsible for delivery of associated technical artifacts including Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL’s)
o Support of all Vehicle, Survivability, and Automotive related Technical Customer Integrated Product teams (IPT’s) and Working groups (WG’s)
• Responsible for coordination and communication with Integrated Supply chain, Engineering, Program Management and Government customers on all ARV Automotive and Vehicle related tasks, activities, risks and issues.

Job Summary:
Supplier Quality Engineer/Supplier Development Engineer III is responsible for delivering strategic and tactical supply chain activities for our supply base to effectively support all Textron Systems’ businesses across all site locations with a focus on overall external supply chain improvement.
Each team member will develop optimized external supply chain capability, enabling the highest levels of competition among the highest performing suppliers, geographically located; to optimally support our business throughout all phases of the product life cycle with a particular focus on Quality.
This role includes performing: - supplier assessments and development evaluations, supplier identification, and supplier management tasks. Working collaboratively across all product domains to understand the needs of the business and drive supply chain execution and accountability to the highest attainable level

Supplier Quality Engineer/Supplier Development Engineer III is specifically responsible for driving results with our suppliers across multiple supply categories including mechanical and/or electrical parts and assemblies in all facets of performance, including cost, delivery and quality. This role will report directly to the Manager of Supplier Development within the Supply Chain organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop Relationships throughout the Supply Base and connect that network with Internal customers and drive Quality into the foundation for execution
- Perform and/or participate in source qualification by performing quality management system surveys and special process surveys.
- Solicit supplier inputs into product design, considering design for manufacturability, cost, reliability, parts availability, and more.
- Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA) as appropriate for suppliers.
- Coordinate the effective flow-downs of contractual requirements to suppliers along with alignment on quality codes and performance expectations.
- Execute supplier development strategies balanced across all domains.
- Partner with Sourcing Engineering, Supplier Management, Buyers, and Quality Engineering to ensure a smooth transition to the identified source enabling seamless execution via leading effective Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
- Coordinate with Quality Engineering inspection requirements of suppliers and execute inspection requirements such as first article inspection, managing nonconforming materials, troubleshooting, processing material review board actions, etc.
- Lead management of critical supplier issues to improve overall execution.
- Lead risk assessments via FMEA/Risk Cubes, RCCA, countermeasures and supplier scorecard reviews.
- Perform data analysis and issue reports on supplier performance to ensure suppliers meet and maintain expected performance levels inclusive of quality and delivery.

Structural and Welding Inspection and defect identification through VT, PT and MT methods to determine adherence to standards, specifications, and drawing requirements. Experience in Visual, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle inspections across all three methods is preferred.

- Approach assignments with a high ethical resolve, ensuring reputable standing with our onsite customers.
- Ability to implement NDT inspection methods in accordance with written procedures.
- Visual examinations by means of instruments, gauges, jigs, templates, or other measuring devices to include nondestructive test methods to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, drawing, etc.

Responsibilities:
· Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification, and definition.
· Performs quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).
· Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.
· Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting DFX
· Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc.
· Partner with manufacturing to ensure the plans achieve what is designed on the drawings and the appropriate inspections are placed in the plans to ensure compliance.
· Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).
· Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.
· Performs Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and tracking activities.
· Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.

The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) manages a team of Manufacturing Engineers who will be focused on developing tooling, resolving and preventing issues in production, and incorporating design changes. This individual will work with their team to correct errors in work instructions and parts allocations real time, eliminating production downtime and inefficiencies. The ME Supervisors will also restructure work scope between build stations as required to maintain an efficient product flow and support production by providing on-the-spot coverage for questions and clarifications on work scope, technical details, or blueprint interpretation. This individual will guide the team in effective review of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) content to prevent future issues from reaching production.
The ME Supervisor will ensure production support departments work together to meet schedule and objectives, develops and maintains relevant team performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies. In coordination with the ME manager, provides strategic direction for short and long-term improvements regarding safety, quality, and cost. This individual must have a passion for innovation, standardization, and quality accompanied by exceptional communication skills, power to positively influence and develop others and be a result-oriented leader.
